Anne-Marie could appear on the main series of Strictly Come Dancing after triumphing on the Christmas special this year.

The singer, 30, competed on Christmas Day with professional dancer Graziano Di Prima, 27, with the pair coming out on top with their cha cha cha to Gwen Stefani’s Feliz Navidad, scoring 40 out of a possible 40 points.

And the starlet could be cast in an upcoming series of the show if she can find time in her schedule.

According to The Sun, a show insider said: ‘There’s no rule to say celebs who have been on the Christmas special can’t join the main run. 

‘Bosses would love her to do a main series but they know how busy her schedule is.’

Fans praised Anne-Marie on Saturday evening after she was crowned the winner of the Strictly festive special.

The pop star took home the festive trophy, beating out competition from newsreader Moira Stuart, 72, television presenter Adrian Chiles, 54, actress Mel Giedroyc, 53,, maître d’hôtel Fred Sirieux, 49, and The Repair Shop star Jay Blades, 51.  

When they were announced as the winners, Anne-Marie couldn’t believe her luck, saying: ‘I didn’t hear my name then, I’m so happy. He wanted it so bad as well, I’m so happy.’

Anne-Marie later took to Twitter to celebrate her win, writing: ‘I CANNOT BELIEVE IT!!!! I’m so proud and so happy for the opportunity to dance. It brought out a side of me I hadn’t seen in a long time.

Before the performance Anne- Marie said: ‘I am about 15 million per cent excited. If it all goes wrong, I may just whack out a song quickly and hope that that gets me a few points but I’m trying hard, I’m learning so much.’ 

Professional dancer Graziano added of their close bond: ‘She’s a star, we’ve got chemistry and she can dance. I’m really confident, she is working so hard and she’s got the moves. She is doing really well.’
