Australia is facing an alcohol shortage with industry experts warning liquor store shelves could be stripped bare within weeks. 

Endeavour Group, the owner of Dan Murphy’s and BWS, said major disruptions to supply chains across the globe has hampered access to some beverages.

Sourcing issues have also been exacerbated as Australians coming out of lockdown empty shelves to celebrate with some drinks. 

‘We have proactively allowed for more lead time when importing products to mitigate any potential supply chain delays,’ Chief executive Steve Donohue said.
