‘I think you need a BF refund, sorry but who wear socks to a BEACH EVER? In the history of going to beaches, when did sock wearing become a thing?’ a third asked.

‘That sand better be scorching hot. Otherwise, there’s no excuse for that behaviour,’ said a fourth.

Others however defended the American, saying socks can prevent beachgoers from burning their feet on the sand.

‘So you don’t burn your feet on the sand as that’s the only reason I can think of as in Qld my feet were blistered from the sand being hot,’ one user suggested.

‘Either the sand is too hot or he hates sand between his toes,’ said a second.

‘I don’t give damn what you Aussies think, I’ll always wear my socks on the beach,’ one American admitted.
