Khafi participated in the Big Brother Naija season four and was evicted after 77 days.

According to Police reports, Alexander who is 20, the younger brother of Khafi was shot and killed on June 8th, 2020.

The event happened at Askew Road in Shepherd’s Bush and had gun shot wounds in his chest and abdomen.

According to a statement in a BBC feature,  the family said, “Alex was a loving and caring boy who was loved by so many.

“He was so enthusiastic about what he did, he loved IT and computers. His life was tragically cut short by such a senseless act of violence which no one should ever have to endure.

“He will never have the ability to grow up and live the life we all can, he had plans to go to university in September.”

Khafi also took to her official Twitter account to ask for help regarding the killer of her brother. She said,  “On the 1st of January 2020 I had no idea I would be going into the 1st day of the second half of the year without my little brother.

“Almost a month on and the person who has broken my family still has not been found. The hardest thing was not being there for my brother when he cried out for help. I’m praying we can help him now. If you know who did this please come forward. I beg you. #HelpAlex.”

“My brother’s life mattered. Please #HelpAlex and come forward if you have any information. I’m broken.”

A statement regarding the death of Khafi’s brother by the London’s Metropolitan Police Service said, “Please #SHARE | We believe the murder of Alexander Kareem, 20, was a case of mistaken identity.

“He did nothing wrong, he simply left a convenience store and was fatally shot.

“Alexander’s family “We were not there to help Alex in his last moments but we can help now, as can you”
