Below Deck Down Under: Chef Ryan branded ‘most hated chef ever’

Below Deck Down Under: Chef Ryan branded 'most hated chef ever' 2

Below Deck Down Under’s Chef Ryan McKeown is branded ‘the most hated chef ever’ by viewers: ‘He’s whiny, arrogant and egotistical!’

Below Deck Down Under is currently airing on hayu, and viewers can’t stop talking about the show’s outspoken chef, Ryan McKeown.

The Philadelphia-born foodie has enraged fans of the franchise with his ‘arrogant’ attitude and refusal to even listen to requests from the yacht’s paying customers.

Across the first three episodes, Chef Ryan has served guests meals like burgers and tacos, and has failed to communicate with Chief Stew Aesha Scott about meal times.

‘Can someone please tell Chef Ryan that he is there for the guests. They are NOT there for him,’ one furious fan tweeted.

‘What an arrogant A**hole. He’s ruining the season already,’ they added.

Another wrote: ‘Chef Ryan is about to be the most hated man in America for mistreating Aesha, the most beloved chief stew ever.’

One viewer said that Ryan had ‘taken the crown for the most hated chef ever,’ while another tweeted: ‘Chef Ryan is an entitled little pr**k!’

Across Below Deck Down Under’s first three episodes so far, Ryan has ignored guests and talked back to Aesha, which has pushed the usually bubbly Kiwi to the edge.

‘I’ve been trying so hard to get on with Ryan and be kind with him, but it’s really hard to be friends with a c**t,’ she said in one confessional.

Below Deck Down Under just launched with an explosive start, and the handsome Captain Jason Chambers already has viewers swooning.

While he may be the youngest captain in the Below Deck franchise, Jason isn’t afraid to do whatever it takes to ensure the guests have the best experience possible – whether that be setting up idyllic scuba diving trips or making sure there’s always time to squeeze in a ride on a jet ski.

And he won’t be alone in dealing with the demanding rota of charter guests, with fan fave Aesha making a welcome return as Chief Stew.

Despite having two seasons under her belt on Below Deck Mediterranean, Aesha faces a whole new set of challenges with the Down Under crew.

While her bubbly personality and charm may have got her far, she soon realises that she has her work cut out keeping everyone in check on Thalassa.

Aesha soon finds herself butting heads with the self-confessed ‘arrogant’ Chef Ryan, who has very particular ideas on how to run the kitchen – even if it goes against what the wealthy guests may expect.

Below Deck Down Under is currently available to stream exclusively on hayu.
