Below Deck Mediterranean alumna Hannah Ferrier and Josh Roberts tie the knot in her native Australia 2

Below Deck Mediterranean’s longtime chief stewardess is a married woman.

Hannah Ferrier and Josh Roberts were married in a stunning ceremony in Australia, on Sydney’s Northern Beaches on Saturday, March 26, E! News reported the same day.

For their big day, the bride walked down the aisle in traditional white bridal gown by Velani, while the groom paid homage to his Scottish roots by donning a traditional red-plaid kilt.

The wedding party consisted of three bridesmaids and three groomsmen.

In a lovely tribute to Roberts, his groomsmen and the bride’s father were also decked out in Scottish kilts for the ceremony.

The couple’s 16-month-old daughter Ava Grace Roberts was said to have looked adorable wearing ‘a gorgeous little flower crown’ while serving as one of the two flower girls.

Leading up to the ceremony, Ferrier worked alongside a wedding planner to help create her dream wedding, although it wasn’t all smooth sailing from the onset.

Describing many of her days as ‘hectic,’ the Sydney native had to fire the couple’s first wedding planner for being idle after landing the job.

‘We had, basically, a disaster wedding planner who took on our wedding and then did nothing for six weeks’ she told E!, adding, ‘So this whole wedding has been planned in the last four weeks.’

Through ‘sheer determination’ she was able to find a new planner and still pull off her dream wedding, without scaling back any of the personal touches that were essential. And she did it while her fiancé’s mother was visiting.

As for the ceremony, it was officiated by an ‘amazing’ local celebrant named Caroline, who Ferrier called ‘fantastic.’

Wanting to avoid a ‘stiff ceremony,’ the bride made humor a priority for the festivities.

‘I think even in the speech that she gives before she marries us, that the words “margarita” and “tequila” come up like twice,’ she joked.

Caroline also got to tell the couple’s guests their ‘love story’ of how they met, which began in between filming seasons four and five of Below Deck Med.

They locked eyes for the first time in a Sydney bar, had a glass of wine together, and then went to dinner the very next night. They would end up seeing each other over  the course of the next seven days.

Ferrier, who starred on the Bravo reality series for its first five seasons, went public with their relationship in the season five premiere in June 2020, when she announced her pregnancy.

Ava eventually made her arrival to Planet Earth the following October, which came a number of weeks after Ferrier was fired by Captain Sandy Yawn for failing to declare Valium and a CBD pen on the luxury mega-yacht, which is protocol.

In her defense, Ferrier said she never hid the fact that she ‘suffered from anxiety and had anti-anxiety medication.’

‘I didn’t like that it was presented as I had drugs on board, because I don’t like that stigma,’ she said.

The reality star went on to reveal that the anxiety medication was for a mental illness.

The reception was ultimately held at the couple’s home. Some of her former Below Deck Med co-stars were among the guests, including Anastasia Surmava, who only just recently got engaged herself.

The bride and groom will soon be heading off to Thailand for their honeymoon, with a bit of rest and relaxation on the docket.

‘Everyone’s like, “Oh, the nightclubs are open!’ Hannah said in regards to their honeymoon, adding, ‘I’m like, “Are you f***ing kidding me? We have a baby. We don’t want to go to nightclubs. We want to take a nap.”‘

Fans can catch old episodes of Below Deck Mediterranean with Hannah as the chief stewardess on Peacock.

She appears in the first five seasons, which saw her and the crew work and reside aboard a 150-foot-plus superyacht during a charter season in Greece (Season 1), Croatia (Seasons 2), Italy (Season 3), France (Season 4) and Spain (Season 5).
