Billie Eilish is headlining Coachella 2022… after Travis Scott was removed from the lineup following deadly Astroworld festival

Billie Eilish is returning to the desert with a headlining gig at the famous Coachella Valley Music and Arts Festival in 2022.

The 20-year-old singer will reportedly take the stage on one night just three years after her Coachella debut which was featured on her The World’s a Little Blurry Apple TV+ documentary.

Billie joins electronic music legends Swedish House Mafia on the roster of headliners, but its unclear who the third major act will be after Travis Scott was removed from the lineup following the deadly Astroworld festival in Houston where 10 people were killed.

TMZ confirmed Billie’s booking with sources saying she ‘signed on as one of the event’s big names for 2022.’

Swedish House Mafia — the house music supergroup including DJ’s Axwell, Steve Angello and Sebastian Ingrosso — were the first to confirm their attendance at the beloved yearly event.

The last two festivals were canceled due to COVID-19, and Coachella 2022 is set for back-to-back weekends beginning April 15.

Coachella 2020 had Frank Ocean, Travis Scott and Rage Against the Machine set for headliners before it was canceled due to the coronavirus.

Ocean reportedly agreed to return for the 2023 festival and Rage is not coming back for 2022.

Scott — who’s full name is Jacques Bermon Webster II — has largely stayed out of the spotlight amid a slew of lawsuits including ‘inciting mayhem’ after headlining his Nov. 5 festival where 10 people were killed after fans stormed the stage.
