Black Lives Matter protesters destroy 100-year-old statue honoring slave trader in England (video)
Protesters championing the Black Lives Matter movement have destroyed a 100-year-old statue honoring a slave trader in England.
The statue which was located in Bristol was that of Edward Colston who was a merchant slave trader.
The Black Lives Matter started as a protest in the United States of America (USA) due to the murder of George Floyd a black man at the hands of a white police officer in Minneapolis.
The movement of Black Lives Matter is now a worldwide voice and the statue of Colton in Bristol has been there since 1985 honoring him for trading 84,000 African men, women, and children to the Caribbean and North America.
The protesters dragged the statue with a rope and threw it into River Avon where it sank.
