Last month Lively said she ‘steers the ship’ for her red carpet style.

The star stepped out at the premiere for her husband Ryan Reynolds’ new movie The Adam Project in New York and stunned in an Atelier Versace dress with a plunging neckline and pastel fabric, while she completed her look with a pink purse, silver heels, earrings and bracelets.

Speaking to E! News, her makeup artist Kristofer Buckle said the way the actress styles herself is ‘rare in the business’ while adding who her inspirations are.

The artist revealed Blake took inspiration from both Bridgette Bardot and Sharon Tate’s aesthetic in the late 1960s, especially with a ‘smoky chocolate eye and brown lashes paired with a softer lips’.

Bardot is an 87-year-old French film star who gained a following from the movie And God Created Woman in 1956. She went on to star in the cult classic Contempt.

Tate was model and actress who starred in Valley Of The Dolls. She was also the wife of film director Roman Polanski.
