Boko Haram attacks military barracks in Borno State
According to sources, the 333 Artillery Barracks in Maiduguri, Borno state was attacked by Boko Haram insurgents on Monday, July 13.
The barracks was reportedly attacked around 11; 20 pm in the night as the insurgents opened fire inside and around the surroundings.
The attack on the barracks started with Boko Haram invading some of the nearby towns on Maiduguri-Damaturu road.
According to a Maiduguri resident Tajudeen Umar, the attacks were real and serious with the Nigerian military suffering a significant below.
He said, “We are under serious attack in this city. Sounds of gunshot and bombs from different direction. I can’t tell precisely where this is from but the sounds are clear.”
