The newly-appointed Chief of Defence Staff, Lt General Lucky Irabor has indicated that poor road network in some areas of Borno State has been a major why the war against Boko Haram has lingered to date.
Lt General Irabor said this when he led the new service chiefs to the Theatre Command, Operation Lafiya Dole in Maiduguri for the first time since their appointments last Tuesday.
He also added that the war against Boko Haram might continue to rage on if the necessary provisions needed to prosecute it are not put in place.
Assessing the road network is the issue and this is not the job of the Operation Lafiya Dole. There cannot be good governance without a good road network
