Bournemouth 2 Chelsea 2: Are the Blues in danger of missing the Champions League next season?
Chelsea had to fight to claim a 2-2 draw away to Bournemouth in a Premier League encounter played on Saturday, February 29th at the Vitality Stadium.
The Blues were expected to take advantage of Leicester City’s 1-0 loss against Norwich City on Friday, however they could not get all three points.
They started well going ahead in the 33rd minute through Marcos Alonso.
Jefferson Lerma equalised for Bournemouth from a corner kick by Ryan Fraser in the 54th minute. Joshua King made it two in the 57th minute from an assist by Jack Stacey. Alonso will equalise in the 85th minute as Chelsea earned a draw with his second strike.
The result means that the Blues have a four point advantage over Manchester United and Tottenham Hotspur who both play tomorrow and a win will reduce the differential to just one point.
Regardless of the case against Manchester United and Tottenham seem to have found some form. Are Chelsea in danger of missing out of the Champions League next season?
