Nigeria’s Minister of Foreign Affairs, Mr. Geoffrey Onyeama has tested positive for COVID-19 after receiving the result of his fourth test.
The Minister made his status public as he took to his verified twitter account to make the announcement.
He said;
“Did my fourth Covid-19 test yesterday at the first sign of a throat irritation and unfortunately this time it came back positive. That is life! Win some lose some. Heading for isolation in a health facility and praying for the best.”

Geoffrey Onyeama is one of a handful of public officers who have tested positive for the virus since its outbreak in Nigeria in March.
Nigeria currently have a total of 36,107 COVID-19 confirmed cases: 20,391 active cases, 14, 938 discharged patients and 778 deaths.
