Breaking : Publish their names or face the law! – Femi Gbajabiamila direct Akpabio to release names of lawmakers that got NDDC contracts!

The Speaker of the House of Representatives, Honourable Femi Gbajabiamila has directed the Minister of Niger Delta Affairs, Senator Senator Godswill Akpabio to publish the names of lawmakers who received NDDC contracts.

The Speaker said this in reaction to the claim that the Minister made during his probe by the House Committee on Niger Delta yesterday in Abuja.

Akpabio said that ;

“I just told you that we have records to show that most of the contracts in the NDDC are given out to members of the National Assembly”.

However, the Honourable Speaker has rebuffed Akpabio claims and has directed him to release the names of those involved within two days or else he will face the full wrath of the law.

In his (Gbajabiamila) words;

“I’ve never once collected contracts from the NDDC and I know I can speak for many other members,”

“I hereby call on the minister to within 24-48 hours to publish the names, contracts, date and unveil the companies of the 60 percent projects that were given to the National Assembly.”

““The minister owes it to himself, commitee, Niger delta and the people of Nigeria to publish details of those who have been given contracts,” the speaker said.”
