Music superstar, Damini Ogulu popularly referred to as Burna Boy has gifted the Kolo Community in River State gift items in celebration of his recently-won, Grammy Award.
Burna Boy, via The Reach Nigeria, distributed food items to over 300 residents of the community in Ogoniland.
The Grammy Award star took to his Twitter page to share his delight as regards the distribution of the food items to the petty traders, farmers and other people in the community.
Burna Boy’s tweet reads;
“Amazing. So happy we can continue to help. ❤️ to all the volunteers as well @TheREACHNG.”

On the flip side, Burna Boy has been a subject of severe criticism after Governor Nyesom Wike announced a 10 million naira cash gift for him in celebration of his Grammy Award.
Governor Wike’s show of “benevolence” to Burna Boy who is a critic of Nigerian Politicians has been tagged needless waste of public funds by critics on social media.
Wike gifting 10 million Naira to Burna boy who is already a millionaire is very wrong. Now safe me that defence that he could possibly do it from his personal pocket. Fuck it! We know our politicians. If at this stage we can't call black, black then we are deceiving ourselves.

It’s nice that Wike is giving out 10mil to artistes but my mother who worked for the state government for 35yrs retired with gratuity of app 9mil and has been told that the government can’t afford to pay them yet. But it’s okay he is giving 10mil to artistes.
