Coleen Nolan ‘SPLITS from boyfriend Michael Jones after a year-long romance’

Coleen Nolan has reportedly split from her boyfriend Michael Jones after a year of dating.

The Loose Women star, 57, and Michael, 58 – who works for a supermarket in its logistics arm met the – met on Tinder in 2021, with Coleen introducing him to the world during a joint appearance on her show in January this year.

However, a source has since revealed to The Sun that Coleen called time on the relationship back in April, with things said to have ‘fizzled out’ between the pair.

A source told the publication: ‘Coleen and Michael were together for just over a year and while they were happy at first, the spark fizzled out in the end. They quietly broke up in April but have stayed close.

‘She is looking forward to the future and possibly meeting someone new but there is no rush.’

They added: ‘Coleen enjoys the single life and has said she’ll soon be back online dating trying to find her dream match.’

Confirming the break-up, a spokesperson for Coleen said: ‘Coleen and Michael are no longer together but remain great friends and are on good terms.’

Speaking about their romance on Loose Women earlier this year, Michael said: ‘I had been on a few dates before I met her from the apps, and then she popped up and I recognised her. I didn’t think we would even match let alone that I would hear from her. I didn’t think she would respond.’

Divulging how the relationship blossomed, Michael continued: ‘We chatted for a few weeks, texts and phone calls. I assumed she would be really confident. We were generally chatting and then I picked where we met. I got there first.’

The former Nolans songstress was said to have chatted non-stop on their first date, which ticked a box for loved-up Michael, who called it a ‘great evening.’

‘She chatted non-stop, I listened for many hours and it was a great evening. It was great meeting her family, I met them in bits not all in one. It was a gradual process,’ he explained.

Meanwhile, the television personality reassured fans they didn’t need to think about the ‘M word’ yet, but did chime: ‘I was about to give up on dating then we met. We chatted for 6 hours on the first date. There was no awkward silences at all. It’s only been seven months. But it’s going lovely.’

Before going public with Michael, Coleen previously bragged that she was having ‘the best sex of her life’, gushing in an interview: ‘He’s awoken something in me. He’s awoken a tiger, which I didn’t know was there.’

Coleen also added to The Mirror that her then boyfriend – who is a divorced father of one – ‘is wonderful’ and ‘makes me feel like I am 20 again’.

Coleen split from her second husband Ray Fensome in 2017 after 11 years of marriage. They share daughter Ciara.

She was previously married to EasteEders star Shane Richie who is the father of her two sons, Jake Roche and Shane Roche Jr.
