Dare Ice Coffee is pulled off the shelves over ‘foreign matter’ in several varieties of the popular flavoured milk: ‘Do not drink’

Bottles of popular flavoured milk brand have been recalled from hundreds of stores due to the presence of ‘foreign matter’.

Bega Dairy and Drinks has pulled 750ml bottles of four different flavours of Dare Iced Coffee from shelves.

Plastic pieces, which could cause injury or illness if consumed, are thought to be present in the bottles.

The recalled flavours are:

Espresso – Use by dates of October 6, 2022; October 8, 2022; October 12, 2022; October 13, 2022 and October 14, 2022.

Double Espresso – Use by dates of October 6, 2022; October 8, 2022; October 11, 2022; October 13, 2022 and October 14, 2022.

Mocha – Use by dates of October 5, 2022; October 7, 2022; October 11, 2022 and October 15, 2022.

Double Espresso No Sugar Added – Use by dates of October 5, 2022; October 7, 2022; October 11, 2022; and October 15, 2022.

Food Standards Australia have advised consumers to not drink the recalled product.

‘The recall is due to the potential presence of foreign matter (plastic pieces),’ it said.

‘Food products containing plastic pieces may cause illness/injury if consumed.

‘Consumers should not drink these products and should contact Bega Dairy and Drinks for a full refund.’
