South Korean actress Kim Mi-soo, who currently appears in the popular Disney+ series Snowdrop, has died suddenly at age 29, her agent revealed Wednesday.
Her agent did not reveal a cause for the unexpected death, only saying her family is in ‘shock and grief-stricken’.
Kim’s agency, Landscape, said in statement: ‘Kim suddenly left us on Jan. 5.
‘The bereaved family is currently very heartbroken by the sudden mournful news.
‘The bereaved are deep in their sorrow at the sudden sadness.
‘We sincerely ask you to refrain from making up rumors or speculative reports so that the bereaved family, who are in shock and grief-stricken, can reverently commemorate the deceased.’

Kim’s character was an activist and fourth-year History student who shared an university dormitory with the main character, portrayed by Blackpink singer Jisoo
Kim gained popularity for her role on Snowdrop as Yeo Jeongmin, a student activist.

Kim also appeared in the South Korean films Memories and Kyungmi’s World, both in 2019.
She appeared in Netflix’s acting drama Hellbound, which beat Squid Game to become Netflix’s most watched show in November 2021.
Snowdrop, Kim’s last acting credit before her death, is a romantic series set around the 1987 pro-democracy movement.
The show has been the focus of controversy over its depiction of North Koreans and historical accuracy.

Kim’s funeral will be held at Taeneung Sungsim Funeral Home.
‘As per her family’s wishes, the funeral will be held quietly in private.
‘Please wish for Kim Mi Soo to rest in peace, and once again, we offer our deepest condolences to the deceased.’
Stunned fans took to Twitter to pay tribute to the star, who because of the way some South Korean’s calculate the calendar is 31 years old despite being born on March 16, 1992.
One wrote: ‘We are deeply saddened by the news of Kim Mi-soo passing away at the age of 31. Our thoughts and prayers are with you and your family’.

‘A number of us have known you through Yeo Jeongmin but it won’t downsize that we have grown to love you in such short while. Ms. Kim Misoo, wherever you are now, bring with you the love we have,’ another Twitter user added.
Kim reportedly attended the Korea National University of Arts for acting and had a successful career as a model.
She was known for her work in the Korean TV show Lipstick Revolution. She also appeared in the drama Hi Bye, Mama!.
Prior to her death, Kim had appeared in seven of 16 episodes that had been broadcast, and the filming had concluded as Snowdrop was a pre-produced series.
Kim had also began filming Disney+’s drama Kiss Six Sense.
The drama reportedly canceled the scheduled filming for the day following the news of her death.
