The outlet also reported that Doctor Strange In The Multiverse of Madness is expected to overtake The Batman in terms of the biggest domestic box office opening of the year.

The Sam Raimi–directed movie raked in an impressive $134 million in its first weekend of release, which occurred in March.

Variety noted that the Marvel feature’s opening will greatly surpass that of the original Doctor Strange feature, which earned $85 million in its 2016 debut.
