Driver tries to fight off masked carjackers as they steal his £85k BMW [VIDEO] 2

This is the chilling moment a defenceless man was attacked by three masked men for the keys to his £85,000 BMW.

Mobeen Chaudry had just pulled into his driveway in Harborne, near Birmingham and got out of his car when he was suddenly rushed by the trio.

Dramatic home security footage filmed on November 13 shows him panicking when he spotted the men in balaclavas before running down his cul-de-sac.

He repeatedly screamed: ‘No, no,’ at the top of his voice before he was kicked to the ground and the keys to the car were snatched off him.

The father-of-one bravely ran back to his car shouting: ‘Leave me alone’ as one assailant repeatedly ordered him to ‘move bro’.

Undeterred, Mr Chaudry got into his car through a rear passenger door as it was reversing out of the driveway.

But he says he was repeatedly hit over the head until he briefly blacked out and was kicked onto the road.

He says the thugs drove off in the four-month-old £85,000 white BMW X3M Competition while the others followed in their getaway grey Audi TT.

The white car was recovered around 6am on Sunday in Shirley and police have launched an investigation.

Mr Chaudry, 37, told BirminghamLive the carjackers were ‘savages’, adding: ‘They have no respect or care for anyone.

‘I’ve got lots of cuts, bruises and had two teeth knocked out. I worked hard for that car. I was not born with a silver spoon in my mouth.

‘I saved for many years. I worked long hours and made a lot of sacrifices to afford that car.’

The horror unfolded as Mr Chaudry, who works in IT, pulled up on his drive in Gilmorton Close at 1am on Saturday.

He said: ‘I didn’t see them approaching as my fence is high. As soon as I saw them I tried to run away down my cul-de-sac.

‘I ran away but they tripped me and kicked me a few times on the ground.

‘I was holding on to the key at the time but they managed to get it off me.

‘One of them managed to get in the BMW and I chased after them.

‘I ran around the back of the car and jumped in through the back door.

‘I was on the back seat and tried to get the key back but one of them got into the car alongside me and started hitting me over the head with a kind of tool or weapon.

‘He was reversing out and I might have blacked out briefly while they were hitting me over the head.

‘I was dragged out of the car and left in the middle of the road.’

The video ends with the BMW – which has a tracker fitted – being driven off while some of the attackers follow in their Audi TT and Mr Chaudry stumbling around.

A neighbour who heard his screams came to his aid and the police came within minutes. The incident has left him feeling ‘sore, upset and gutted.’
