Edo Guber Polls: Angry Residents boo Governor Obaseki and his convoy at Oba of Benin’s Palace (video)

The Edo State Gubernatorial Elections is less than two months away momentum is already rising and one of the major candidates; the incumbent Governor and People’s Democratic Party’s candidate, Godwin Obaseki is already feeling the heat.

Angry residents blocked the Governor’s convoy en route to the Oba of Benin’s Palace as they chanted “PDP Ole” countless times at him.

Godwin Obaseki joined the People’s Democratic Party (PDP) from the All Progressive Congress (APC) as a result of his disqualification from the party’s primaries as well as political disagreement between him and the former party chairman, Adams Oshiomole.

Following the Court of Appeal’s sack of Adam’s Oshiomole as the National Chairman of the Party on the 16th of June, Obaseki said he left the party because Adams Oshiomole was
“scared of educated people because he did not go to school and hate those who have something to offer citizens.”
