Elon Musk admits he is 'lonely' after his split with Grimes and only has his dog for company now 2

Tesla CEO Elon Musk revealed that he’s ‘lonely’ and often only has his dog beside him since his split with pop star and mother of two of his children Grimes.

Billionaire Musk, 80, admitted to Business Insider CEO Mathias Döpfner in an interview he was sometimes isolated since the breakup.

‘There are times when I’m lonely,’ he said. ‘I’m sure there are times when everyone is lonely. But it’s pretty basic. Say if I’m working on the starship rocket and I’m just staying in my little house by myself, especially if my dog is not with me, then I feel quite lonely because I’m just in a little house by myself with no dog.’

He also told Döpfner that he cannot be alone, saying that it ‘is a natural human reaction.’

Grimes has reportedly already moved on from their relationship with an unlikely new romantic partner: military whistleblower Chelsea Manning.

According to Page Six, the 33-year-old musician has been dating Manning, 34, since her most recently split from Musk, 50, and thing between the pair have become so ‘serious’ that they are now ‘living together’ at Grimes’ home in Austin, Texas, where she is currently raising her two young children with the Tesla CEO.

The claims about the mismatched pair’s alleged romance came from an unnamed source, who told the publication: ‘They’re getting serious. They U-hauled it. They’ve been living together in Austin.’

However, the insider added that transgender former Army intelligence officer Manning has retained her apartment in Brooklyn, New York, although they did not share any other details about how or when she is said to have begun dating Grimes.

The report about Grimes and Manning’s alleged relationship comes hours after the singer confirmed on Twitter that she had split from Elon for a second time, three months after they welcomed a second child together via surrogate.

She did not share when exactly the break-up took place, however her Twitter thread about the split was ‘liked’ by Manning’s official account.

Manning – who was imprisoned from 2010 to 2017 for breaking the Espionage Act – also responded to another user’s tweet in which they included a screengrab of a tweet Grimes shared about the fact that she keeps ‘not being in L.A.’, with the whistleblower simply writing: ‘Vouch’.

It does not appear that Grimes has ever tweeted directly to Manning, nor have the two ever been pictured publicly together.

As he continued to muse on the human condition, he told Dopfner that his companies don’t work on products that increase the length of peoples’ lives because he doesn’t think humans should live longer because it would ‘asphyxiate’ society.

Musk, 50, who admitted that he’s been lonely since the break-up with pop star Grimes, was asked in an interview with why he wasn’t passionate about longevity or humans extending their natural lifespan.

‘I don’t think we should try to have people live for a really long time,’ he said.

‘That it would cause asphyxiation of society because the truth is, most people don’t change their mind. They just die. So if they don’t die, we will be stuck with old ideas and society wouldn’t advance.’

He said it was already a problem in the United States where much of the leadership was old and out of touch.

Currently, Joe Biden, at 79, is the oldest man to ever serve as president.

‘In the US, it’s a very, very ancient leadership. And it is just impossible to stay in touch with the people if you are many generations older than them.’

Musk went on to say that America’s founders should’ve put in a maximum age at which you can no longer run for office to go along with the minimum in the Constitution.

‘For a democracy to function, the leaders must be reasonably in touch with the bulk of the population. And if you’re too young or too old, you can’t say that you will be attached.’

He said that the length of life for most people should be within 10-20 years and made a startling remark regarding his own mortality.

‘I certainly would like to maintain health for a longer period of time. But I am not afraid of dying. I think it would come as a relief.’

The President of the United States, Joe Biden, is currently 78 years old, the oldest anyone has ever been while serving in the office. Biden has broken the record set by his predecessor, Donald Trump, who was 74 when he left office.
