Super Eagles striker, Victor Osimhen scored two goals as Napoli began their 2021/2022 Europa League campaign with a draw away at Leicester City.
Leicester City was in control of the game with two goals courtesy of Ayoze Perez’s near-post finish in the first half and Harvey Barnes’ brilliant finish in the second half courtesy of a defense splitting pass from Kelechi Iheanacho.
However, with less than twenty minutes to the end of the match, Victor Osimhen lobbed the ball over Kasper Schmeichel from a well-controlled pass as he dragged Napoli back into the match.
Just when Leicester City thought they could defend their three points, Victor Osimhen like lightning thunder struck again as he headed home a brilliant header three minutes from time.
It was a night of mixed fortunes for the Nigerian players in the match as Wilfred Ndidi who had a decent performance, got sent off after picking up his second yellow card late in the match.
