Eurovision fans have admitted that they are convinced Ben Adams is a member of Norway’s act Subwoolfer after Graham Norton doubled down on the rumours.

The singer, 40, rose to fame as part of the British-Norwegian boy band A1 in the 90s and has now prompted speculation that he has returned to stage as part of Subwoolfer.

Norway’s Eurovision duo competed in Saturday’s final after rising to recognition by winning Melodi Grand Prix 2022, but nobody knows the true identities of the pair, who wear yellow wolf masks on stage.

Subwoolfer, who sang Give That Wolf A Banana alongside dancers in yellow morph suits for the Eurovision final, refer to themselves by the pseudonyms Keith and Jim.

Now, Ben has been hit by rumours that he is one half of Subwoolfer after a Porsche reportedly registered to him was seen outside the H3 Arena in Bærum at the same time the act were recording their Eurovision backup performance, according to Metro.

And during Saturday’s final, Graham Norton added to the speculation that it was Ben behind the wolf mask as he said that he thought the ‘shorter wolf’ was the A1 star.

Before Subwoolfer took to the stage, Graham, 59, teased in a voiceover: ‘We think we know who one of them is! I’ll tell you after they perform.’

And after their quirky performance, Graham revealed: ‘We think the shorter wolf is Ben, Ben Adams of the boyband A1!’

Ben is originally from Ascot but currently lives in Norway with his fiancée Sara Skjoldnes and their daughter Skylar, leaving fans convinced he is in Subwoolfer.

Eurovision fans were quick to take to Twitter to share their thoughts on the rumours, with many saying they thought the mystery singer’s voice was a dead ringer for Ben.

Others also suggested that if Ben was one half of Subwoolfer, then the second member could be Norwegian singer Christian Ingebrigtsen – who was also part of A1.

One viewer wrote: ‘I just want to know if the Ben Adams rumours are true.’

Another tweeted: ‘And if that’s not Ben Adams for Norway, his voice has been stolen (if it is him, is the other Christian?).’

A third penned: ‘YES to #Norway being one half of A1 – Christian is Norwegian and that definitely sounds like Ben Adams.’

While a fourth quipped: ‘Who had Ben Adams from A1 being a wolf in a mask for Norway on their 2022 bingo then.’

The rumours come after Subwoolfer put on a quirky performance during the much-anticipated live final of the Eurovision Song Contest.

The anonymous duo sang Give That Wolf A Banana, which is said to be inspired by Little Red Riding Hood, and were joined by their DJ Astronaut.

The lyrics to the unique track include: ‘If you don’t like the name Keith I’ma call you Jim/ And before that wolf eats my grandma/ Give that wolf a banana.’

Elsewhere, Spain’s Chanel left little to the imagination with a racy performance of club banger ‘SloMo’.

The raunchy twerk-heavy choreography is by Kyle Hanagami, who is behind dance routines for pop megastars, including Jennifer Lopez, Ariana Grande and Justin Bieber.

And Armenia’s Rosa Linn performed in a makeshift room made out of what appeared to be toilet roll or sticky notes and uncovered key lyrics of her song ‘Snap’ behind the pieces of paper.

Commentator Graham Norton joked that she had bought up all the toilet roll in the Covid-19 lockdown when there was a shortage due to panic buying in the UK.

Meanwhile, Italy, whose act Maneskin won last year, stole the first half of the show with one of the best performances of the night and had the crowd singing every line to Brividi.

Performing on the waterfall stage, Mahmood and BLANCO broke off into a rap-off after impressing with their flawless powerhouse vocals.

They ended by embracing each other after ending with a hair-raising high note.
