Dangote serious about buying Arsenal in 2021, watch what he said
Nigerian Business mogul Aliko Dangote who is also the richest man in Africa, has reiterated his desire to buy Premier League giants Arsenal Football Club in the year 2021.
Currently the majority shareholder Stan Kroenke is not a fan favourite. With a net worth of over £8.5billion Dangote is not only the largest cement producer in Africa he also has companies that manufacture salt, sugar and flour.
He has now revealed that when his Dangote Refinery currently under construction is completed he would launch a bid to take over at the Emirates Stadium.
On the David Rubenstein Show Dangote said, “It is a team that, yes, I would like to buy some day, but what I keep saying is we have $20billion worth of projects and that’s what I really want to concentrate on.
‘I’m trying to finish building the company and then after we finish, maybe some time in 2021 we can.
‘I’m not buying Arsenal right now, I’m buying Arsenal when I finish all these projects, because I’m trying to take the company to the next level.’

Back in 2010 Dangote earlier expressed interest in Arsenal. He said, “I am a long-standing supporter of Arsenal Football Club and have been involved in conversations around investment in the past.”
In 2018 he said, “Someone will give them an offer that will make them seriously consider walking away.”
Can he turn around the fortunes of Arsenal who have been struggling.?
Dangote has always reiterated that he will buy Arsenal when his oil refinery is finished. It begun construction on June 2017. It was due to finish 2020 but has been pushed back to 2021. Aliko owns 85% of the publically traded Dangote group. https://t.co/uJ08QktiUd
