Klopp vs Guardiola : Who will come out tops when Liverpool face Man City?
The biggest game in world football takes place at Anfield this Sunday, when Liverpool take on Manchester City.
The reigning European champions lead the team they finished second to in the Premier League last season by six points.
These are undoubtedly the two biggest sides in English football at the moment. There would be many battles with world class players on the pitch such as Sergio Aguero and Raheem Sterling for Manchester City, Sadio Mane and Mohamed Salah for Liverpool.
The main battle will be in the dugout between Jurgen Klopp and Pep Guardiola. Unlike their previous meetings there seems to be some friction leading to this encounter.
Klopp is one of the few managers in world football who can stand toe to toe with Guardiola. They have faced off 16 times, seven wins of each and two draws.
Both coaches have an obsession to win but go about it differently. Guardiola believes in possession taunting the opposition to step forward and exploiting their weaknesses. Klopp on the other hand, believes attack in the best form of defense and tries to hurry the opposition to make turnovers and capitalize on their errors.
In reality, both systems are polar opposites and always exciting to watch but is a chess match with both coaches waiting on each other to over commit.
The midfield will be the decider whoever establishes authority and stamps their pattern will carry thee day as both coaches are master tacticians
