Vardy, Lampard win October player and manager Premier League awards
Leicester City forward Jamie Vardy has won the October Premier League Player of the Month award.
Vardy scored four goals in three appearances to climb above Tammy Abraham and Sergio Aguero in the scoring charts in October. His four goals led Leicester City to two wins and are now third place in the Premier League.
Vardy beat five other nominees to the award and including teammate Youri Tielemans, Chelsea forward Willian, Jack Grealish of Aston Villa, Manchester City’s Ilkay Gundogan, and Sheffield United goalkeeper Dean Henderson.
Chelsea boss Frank Lampard has won the Barclays Manager of the Month award for the first time. He claims the monthly award from Liverpool manager Jurgen Klopp who won back to back in August and September. He led Chelsea to three wins against first against Newcastle United, and later against Southampton and Burnley whom they scored four each against. He beat other nominees Klopp, Graham Potter, Brendan Rodgers and Dean Smith to this month’s award.
