G-Eazy and Ashley Benson have sparked rumors of a reconciliation as they were spotted enjoying lunch together on the day after Christmas.

The rapper and the actress – who are both 32-years-old – were seen sharing a few laughs as they dined outdoors on the sunny afternoon in Los Feliz, California.

It has been a difficult year for the singer. In November G-Eazy shared his mother Suzanne Olmsted died after a long illness as he took to Instagram to honor her.

The rapper said he was still in shock that he lost his mom adding it is taking time to process that his ‘queen’ and ‘hero’ will no longer be around for him to hug.

And in his note the musician added that his mother had inspired him to go to rehab to deal with his ‘addiction.’

Suzanne was very close to her son as she often attended his concerts and joined him at events. 

G-Eazy shared nine photos of his mother, beginning when she was a young woman and then as a new mother, with the later images being more recent.

His note was heartfelt and revealed how much the singer leaned on his mother.   

‘The shock still won’t let me accept the feeling that I’ll never get to hug you in person again. My queen, my hero, my everything… my mom,’ began the ex of Halsey.

He then shared with his 9.1million Instagram followers: ‘The tears won’t stop. My eyes hurt, my face hurts, my body hurts, everywhere hurts.’

And then he expressed how insecure he felt: ‘There’s no safe place to hide and there’s no way to lay, sit, or stand that doesn’t hurt. The pain is enormous.’

G-Eazy also hinted that his mother had a long illness as he said: ‘But I know you’re out of yours and that brings me peace. I love you so much.’

The star did not share what she died of.

In his note he hinted that she had worked hard to keep young G-Eazy out of harm’s way.

‘The power of your plight to survive and protect us against all odds will forever be awe-inspiring,’ he wrote.

‘You were the definition of super-human… the context of which I gained gradually throughout my life. What you went through, the pain you endured, and the impossible adversity you faced will stay with me forever, deeply engrained in the fibers of my identity and being. You will always be my biggest inspiration.’

And then he shared that it was his mother who persuaded him to go to rehab.

‘I didn’t realize the extent of just how worried you were about me until you sent me the hardest letter I’ve ever had to read… Going to treatment for alcohol and drugs was my decision but your letter was what ultimately persuaded me,’ said the Me, Myself & I crooner.

He has had run=ins with the law as he was arrested in Stockholm, Sweden in 2018 on suspicion of assault, possession of narcotics and use of narcotics.

G-Eazy reportedly punched a security guard after the guard found cocaine on the musician.

He pleaded guilty to violent resistance, narcotics possession, and assault against an official and was sentenced to probation, and ordered to pay a fine of $10,000 and a $900 compensation fee to the security guard he assaulted.

In September he was arrested and charged with assault in New York City after a brawl in a club. Two weeks ago he coped a plea deal which will keep him out of jail.

And the star also said that he was close to his mother before she passed.

‘They say the opposite of addiction is connection, and I’d never felt more connected to you than I have in the past months,’ he wrote.

‘Coming home to this wasn’t easy, and nothing will ever be moving forward… but like you would always say, “one step at a time and don’t look at the summit.”‘

And then he mentioned his brother, James Wolcott Gillum. 

‘You loved your two boys more than life itself and we love you the same. Luckily we have each other to hold and to lean on and that’s all that matters. Our hearts are broken, but they are full of love and gratitude for the life you gave us,’ he shared.
