Kaduna State Governor, Nasir El-Rufai is one of the guest appearances at the Nigeria Bar Association 60th Annual General Conference which will be transmitted virtually.

However, Nigerians, including lawyers have taken to social media to express their displeasures over the inclusion of El-Rufai as one of the guest speakers at the virtual evident.

A handful of Nigerians claim that such figure who have done little or nothing to the waves of Killings in his State shouldn’t be addressing the public.

Others see am as a dangerous and vile person based on his seemingly controversial nature and presumably because of the recent allegation that he’s one of the leaders of Boko Haram.

Dear @NigBarAssoc, I just ran through the list of speakers in the forthcoming virtual conference and Gov. El-Rufai's name is on the list. I'll be withdrawing my attendance and cancelling my registration for the conference.

Olumide Akpata is the president elect of the Nigerian Bar Association but Paul Usoro is still our President.

So it is Usoro that should be held responsible for inviting a divisive character like El-rufai to speak at the upcoming virtual NBA conference.

The hate against El-Rufai is not new, the NBA knows that, everyone knows that, and the political reasons for such hate are obvious even to a blind Man, but wether you and every other person on your bandwagon decide to withdraw, the show must go on, it wouldn't change a thing.
