The 34-year-old reality star shared a snap of her family decked out in matching pajamas earlier in the week and was now on her way up the new cabin she recently purchased with Tarek El Moussa after their kids went to spend the rest of the holidays with their mom, Christina Haack, in Tennessee.

While it’s unclear what specific sickness or COVID-19 issues the family was dealing with, Heather and Tarek spent Christmas morning with his children, daughter Taylor, 11, and son Brayden, six

‘Unfortunately we couldn’t have a normal Christmas due to Covid and sickness,’ Heather wrote on her stories. ‘But my mother-in-law stopped by. Hope you love your new bag.’

The Omicron variant continues its surge across the country with 20,821 new cases of coronavirus reported in Los Angeles yesterday, per the LA County Department of Public Health — almost double the 8,633 cases reported on Friday.

The Center for Disease Control and Prevention recorded more than 200 million Americans fully vaccinated against COVID, which is roughly 60 percent of the US population.

‘Gifts are great but what I love about Christmas is the family aspect,’ Tarek wrote. ‘Most of the stores in town are shut down, the city slows down for a second, and we get to spend the day with our loved ones.’

The Selling Sunset star later took to her stories with an update that they were on their way to their cabin in the mountains and were hoping to get snowed in for a few days.

Heather and Tarek said ‘I do’ in October at the Rosewood Miramar Beach Resort, and then traveled to the Maldives and Dubai for a lavish honeymoon.

She admitted last week that she was under strict doctor’s orders for vocal rest and is suffering from ‘inflammation & calluses on vocal chords’

‘I have to be on bed/vocal rest for 3 months,’ she captioned a somber car selfie. ‘And after that we will evaluate again & get surgery if needed.’

‘I started crying, it could be worse but it’s serious & I have to get better or I won’t heal. So basically moves & very limited talking for a while.’

Inflammation of the vocal cords is typically caused by ‘using your voice too much, infections, breathing in irritants, or GERD (gastroesophageal reflux),’ according to Cedars-Sinai Medical Center’s website.
