Kano State Governor, Mallam Abdullahi Ganduje has revealed how the incessant clashes between herdsmen and farmers in the South can be put to an end.
Governor Ganduje said a law that will ban the herders from moving their herds down from the North to the South needs to be put in place.
This according to him will bring an end to the clashes between the which have become a reoccurring incident in recent months.
Governor Ganduje said this during an interview with Journalist after a Northern Governors elected under the All Progressive Congress Party met with President Buhari on Saturday.
My advocacy is that we should abolish the transportation or trekking of herdsmen from the Northern part of Nigeria to the Middle Belt and the Southern part of Nigeria.
There should be a law that will ban, otherwise, we cannot control the conflicts between herdsmen and farmers and cannot control the cattle rustling which is affecting us greatly,
