The Arewa Youth Consultative Forum (AYCF) has told the United States Federal Bureau of Investigation(FBI) that nothing must happen to Deputy Police Commissioner, Abba Kyari after a US court issues a warrant for his arrest.
Abba Kyari allegedly helped international fraudster, Ramon Abass who is otherwise known as Huspuppi in jailing one of the members of his crime syndicate after a dispute ensued between them.
In a statement issued by its national chairman Yerima Shettima on Sunday, the group said the move to arrest Abba Kyari, a serving police officer in his fatherland is unacceptable.
The group also demanded justice for Abba Kyari whom they described as a man with “unrivaled records of detective capabilities.”
“While we are conscious of our sovereignty as a nation, we demand justice for a man with unrivaled records of detective capabilities in the recent history of Nigeria, the statement read in part.

Abba Kyari has however denied his involvement in Hushpuppi’s criminal case as he revealed that he only helped him to get clothing materials.
Huspuppi is currently being tried in the United States for money laundering, Business Email Compromise, and other related offences. He has already pleaded guilty to the allegations and he faces up to 20 years in jail.
