When someone becomes popular in an industry like entertainment, the fame like a wide fire gets to the person’s immediate household, relatives, or friends. Missy Rothstein became popular by her marriage to Bam Margera, a professional skater, comedian, and actor. 

Bam Margera is one of the numerous household names in America’s entertainment industry. He is often referred to as the king of comedian stunts. He is a prominent member of the “Jackass” franchise. In addition, he is also an actor, he appeared in movies such as “Grind”, ” Nitro Circus” among others.

Missy Rothstein, Bam’s ex-wife, is a talented photographer and model whose marriage to Bam had a positive effect on her career as she was brought into the limelight. She is also a reality Tv star and an actress. She has featured in movies like Haggard: The Movie, Minghams: The Movie, Viva La Bam, etc. 

Her marriage with Bam didn’t exactly last long as they divorced in 2012 after five years of being together. Since then, Missy Rothstein has gone off the media radar such that her whereabouts are unknown.

Born on the 3rd of June 1980, Missy Rothstein was raised in Springfield, Pennsylvania and she was raised by her mother Marian Rothstein. It is unclear whether she lived with her father as well as there is no information on him. 

She is a graduate of West Chester East High School, Pennsylvania where she met Bam Margera. The duo were only friends before they became intimate in 2007. Missy Rothstein proceeded to the Pennsylvania State University where she bagged her degree in Communications. 

Career

While growing up, Missy Rothstein nursed the dream of being a supermodel religiously but things changed eventually. She dropped her modeling dream for acting and photography where she excelled. Her first movie appearance was in  2003 where she played the role of “Berth” in the movie “Haggard” which was written and directed by her future husband, Bam Margera. He, Ryan Dunn, and Brandon DiCamillo are featured in the movie.

She did several cameos in the reality Tv series Viva La Bam. Afterward, she appeared in her then-husband’s MTV series, “Bam’s Unholy Union.” 

Missy Rothstein was featured in the original cast of the movie, “Where the F**k is Santa” before she made another appearance in one of the music videos of rock band, CKY.

In 2009, she played the role of “Hot Nurse” in “Minghams” which was also directed by Bam Margera but this time with Brandon DiCamillo.

Marriage

As earlier stated, Missy Rothstein and Bam Margera were only friends in high school, and up until 2003 when they worked together, they didn’t date each other. However, their love affair began shortly after that period when Bam Magera helped her with some acting gigs. 

Their relationship became official in 2007 after Bam proposed to her in a Cartier shop in a Mall. He revealed to New York Times that hi’s discovery of a diamond sparkler that fit Missy’s finger was a good sign of something romantic to come. 

She said; 

*I was like, Now’s the time, We just sat there and drank three bottles of Champagne. Then we forgot to get gas on the way home, and we straight up ran out of gas on Route 202.”

Missy Rothstein and Bam Margera got married on the 3rd of February at the Loews Hotel in downtown Philadelphia with 350 guests in attendance which include colleague Ryan Dunn who died in 2011 in an auto crash. 

Their wedding was quite glamorous as it featured on MTV series, “Bam’s Unholy Union” according to The New York Times

They also got a tattoo at X-Treme Ink Tattoo Parlor in their hometown of West Chester, Pennsylvania on the day they signed their marriage license according to The Washington Post. Margera tattooed the number “313”, the Detroit area code where they got their wedding bands while Bam opted for ” Dr. J.”

However, properties to the tune of $13,000 were damaged by some of the wedding guests at the wedding. Bam, in reaction to the damage, said he was already prepared for such an occurrence. He also added that he would have been surprised if the “Jackass” crew didn’t destroy anything at the venue. He said lights bulbs and doors got broken after it appeared that everyone was already high on booze. 

“I have $13,000 worth of damages I have to pay for. … Everybody got so wasted, they started breaking light fixtures and kicking in the bathroom doors.” 

They had their wedding honeymoon in Dubai and they enjoyed their union till 2010 when things became bad between the couple. 

Missy had to deal with Bam’s chronic alcoholism and he was even hospitalized in 2009. She had to call 911 after her husband went on a four-day drinking spree. Bam after recovering said he might get a divorce because booze helps.

A year later, they started living in different cities although they get to see each other once a week. Their divorce became official in 2012 to the delight of Missy Rothstein. 

Bam Margera is currently enjoying a joyful relationship with Nikki Margera and they bought have a son, Phoenix who was born in 2017. 

Missy Rothstein has lived a very private life since her divorce from Bam. Her whereabouts remain unknown to date.

She is reported to be worth $1m while her ex-husband has a valuation of $50m as of early 2019.
