While his wife Beyonce has been a fixture on Instagram for some time, rapper and music mogul Jay-Z has finally joined the social media outlet.

The 51-year-old rapper (born Shawn Corey Carter) joined the ‘Gram on Tuesday and has already amassed over 1 million followers… while following just one, Beyonce, who he’s been married to since 2008 and shares three children with.

He seemingly joined the popular social media network to promote his new Western The Harder They Fall, which he served as a producer on.

The rapper’s first post was a new poster for The Harder They Fall, which debuts on Netflix on Wednesday following a limited theatrical release.

He only said, ‘The Harder They Fall’ in the post’s caption, with Facebook and Instagram owner Mark Zuckerberg being the first to comment on his post with a had-waving emoji.

Jay-Z also utilized the Instagram story feature for the first time, sharing a brief video that reminded fans when The Harder They Fall would be available on Netflix, starting at midnight PST.

He does have a verified Twitter account, which he’s had since 2008, though he uses it quite sparingly, which he even joked about in his last tweet on Halloween.

‘In my excitement , I failed to prize, and acknowledge JAZ-O, he was the hometown hero that made the dream tangible . Thank you good man… ok let me lose this password for another year or so . Thank you all again , incredibly humbled by your love,’ he said.

Before that he last tweeted in March, when he changed his Twitter handle to @sc and his display name to Mr. Carter, before announcing he was selling the majority of his streaming service Tidal to Square, run by Twitter co-founder Jack Dorsey.

He reportedly was paid $297 million in cash and stock for Tidal, while also given a seat on the Square board of directors.

The Harder They Fall is Jay-Z’s first producing venture since Darkest Before Dawn, which he executive produced in 2015, and the Annie adaptation which he produced in 2015.

The Harder They Fall follows outlaw Nat Love (Jonathan Majors), who re-assembles his old gang upon learning is old rival Rufus Buck (Idris Elba) was released from prison.

While The Harder They Fall is Samuel’s first feature length film, he directed the 10-minute Jay-Z: Legacy short film, featuring Ron Perlman, Susan Sarandon, Aldis Hodge, Emile Hirsch and more.

Jay-Z will also produce the long-awaited biopic Richard Pryor: Is It Something I Said? though it’s not clear when that will move forward.
