Governor Nyesom Wike has reportedly rescued the embattled former Managing Director of the Niger Delta Development Commission (NNDC), Joi Nunieh from the clutches of armed police men this morning.
Multiple sources had earlier reported that the residence of of the ex NDDC Managing Director Creek View, Old G.R.A area in Portharcourt was stormed by about 30 armed police men in attempt to stop her from traveling to Abuja.
Joi Nunieh was due to appear before a House of Representatives Committee over the alleged laundering of 81 billion naira by the Interim Management Committee of the NDDC as the on going probe on the Company continues.

She had already alleged that Minister of Niger Delta Affairs Godswill Akpabio was involved in corrupt practices which involve a 40 billion naira scam in the commission among other allegations.
NyesomWike has now taken Joi Nunieh to the State House in Portharcourt.
