The Kano State Religious Police Corps known as “Hisbah” has written to the management of Cool Fm in the state to stop airing the “Black Friday” sales advert on its station.
According to Hisbah, majority of the inhabitant of the state are Muslims and Friday is a holy day for them as well, so tagging it as “Black Friday” is an aberration.
It also added that its officers will be on patrol to ensure that no “immoral” activity takes place within the premises of the radio station.
This was contained in a letter signed by the Corps’ Principal Executive Officer II, Abubakar Muhammad Ali.
