According to the KTN News channel, a Kenyan court on Monday ordered the husband of long-distance runner Agnes Tirop to be held for 20 days in connection with her murder.
Ibrahim Rotich, Tirop’s spouse, was arrested and charged with murder in the Rift Valley village of Iten, close to their shared home. The time would be used by police to wrap up their investigations and conduct a mental examination on the suspect, according to the court.
