LCC reveal CCTV at Lekki toll gate stopped recording at 8pm
Operators of the Lekki toll gate The Lekki Concession Company (LCC), have stated that the CCTV at the site of the shooting stopped recording at 8pm.
The LCC made it known at the Judicial Panel of Inquiry set up by the Lagos State Government to probe the Lekki shootings on Tuesday, November 3rd.
According to the LCC, they have submitted the footage to the Judicial Panel of Inquiry set up by the Lagos State Government to probe the Lekki shootings but it only covers up till 8 pm before the toll gate was vandalized.
This was made known by Abayomi Omomuwa The Managing Director of LCC.
He said, “I can confirm that inside here is the video footage that our surveillance camera was able to record for the 20th of October.”
The footage s important as protesters against the Special Anti-Robbery Squad (SARS) of the Nigerian Police Force were shot at the Lekki Tollgate on that day.
Also, For technical reasons, the video footage submitted by LCC MD couldn’t be played today and the hearing has been adjourned.
