Lila Moss has landed her first ever cover shoot for Vogue, following the path well trodden by her supermodel mother, who has covered the global fashion bible on 43 occasions.
The 19-year-old daughter of catwalk veteran Kate Moss, 48, posed in a dramatic orange bow-front dress in another artistic shot by photographer Steven Meisel.
During her conversation with Vogue, Lila – whose father is Jefferson Hack – revealed that her mum tried to talk her out of becoming a model, telling the youngster: ‘I wouldn’t recommend it’.

Lila was captivating in her voluminous vibrant frock, which was held up by a nude coloured sheer underlayer.
The beauty’s blonde tresses were styled into a delicate up-do with a long wispy fringe and a slim plait framing her face.
With her arms raised up for the striking high-fashion image, Lila’s flawless visage was adorned with a heavy dusting of pastel shades, in dramatic fashion.
Inspired by racy Netflix period drama Bridgerton, her liberal make-up was carefully selected from a shimmering colour palette, with cosmetics from Dior, Loewe, and Prada used to complement her naturally pretty features.
Sensational: Lila has landed her first ever cover shoot for Vogue, following the path well trodden by her supermodel mother, who has covered the global fashion bible on 43 occasions
Lila nabbed her first modelling gig at the age of 15 – nabbing a campaign for Marc Jacobs Beauty – at just a year older than her mother was when she entered the business.
Learnt from the best: Lila was in familiar territory during the shoot, with Miesel a regular collaborator with Kate, who has covered Vogue on 43 occasions (pictured in 1995)
Kate famously started modelling at 14 and was wary of Lila getting into the business but changed her mind when Lila signed to her own agency so she could guide her.
Lila told British Vogue: ‘My mum always put me off [modelling]. She was always like, ‘If you wanna do it, you can, but I wouldn’t recommend it.’
Despite her mother’s apprehension, Lila insisted that she doesn’t feel anxious at the thought that modelling success could bring the fame from which her parents tried to protect her.
She mused: ‘Not really. I’ve seen it first-hand, so I’m much more able to cope with it. I’ve had to say no to people. But I’m always nice!’
Kate has admitted that she felt unsupported as a young model, saying previously: ‘Nobody takes care of you mentally. There’s a massive pressure to do what you have to do.’
Lila explained: ‘When I was younger she was scared that I’d fall into the same trap, I think. I remember Mum asked me to do something with her when I was 13. I said yes. And then I woke up and I was like, ‘I can’t do it!’ I was so shy – and I had braces.’

Lila also admitted that she used to think her famous mother was ‘old and boring’.
She said: ‘I went to secondary school and everyone was like, ‘Oh, your mum’s Kate Moss!’ You don’t really have a filter when you’re that young and I was like, ‘How do you know who she is? She’s old! She’s old and boring!”
However, these days she understands what a style icon her mother actually is.
Lila explained: ‘In the last three or four years, I’ve discovered that her style is actually really cool. I’m having to admit it now. She doesn’t have a good trackies selection. She only has pyjamas. probably would hate me saying that. She doesn’t want anyone to know she wears trackies.’
A chip off the old catwalk! Lila’s father is journalist Jefferson Hack, with whom Kate was in a relationship in the early Noughties.
Jefferson and Kate – who dated from 2001 to 2004 with Lila being born in 2002 – have an amicable relationship and would ensure their daughter spent a regular amount of time with each of them in her childhood.
Kate has been on a whopping 43 covers of Vogue, with former British Vogue editor Alexandra Shulman singing the model’s praises in her column for The Mail On Sunday in 2020.
Iconic: Mum Kate has a long professional association with the fashion magazine having featured in dozens of cover shoots
She noted: ‘It has been an extraordinary trip for the Croydon schoolgirl scouted by Storm Models back in 1988 when she was just 14. And one which undeniably has made her one of most famous – and, at the same time, enigmatic – women in the world.
‘It was March 1993 when I first put her, aged 19, on the cover of British Vogue. By that time she was known to fashion insiders and had already been on the cover of The Face magazine, but this, her first Vogue cover, was an initiation into the big time.
‘There are moments when fashion pivots on its axis – and this was one of them.’
