Actor Lloyd Avery II Death By Cellmate Kevin Roby
Kevin Roby, a cellmate of popular Hollywood actor Lloyd Avery II, was responsible for his death. On September 6, 2005, correctional officers at Pelican Bay State Prison entered one of the shared cells and discovered the actor’s body.
Roby had struck and strangled Lloyd Avery II the former Hollywood star after what appeared to be ritualistic devotional acts with the dead body of his cellmate. He was, however, dead for two days before the police discovered his body.
Many questions remained unanswered after that, including how the prison guards failed to detect or recognize that a terrible murder had been committed in the cell by a prisoner with a sickening criminal history.
Furthermore, the crime’s intent is as perplexing as it appeared to be a Satanist-led ritual pact.
Who Is Kevin Roby?
Kevin Roby is a violent criminal who was convicted of murdering his sisters and then murdered another inmate in prison. He was an Air Force Academy dropout who was sentenced to life in prison for the murder of a member of his own family at the age of twenty-three.
Velmalin Hill, his sister, was reported kidnapped as the first victim. Roby was the one who told detectives he saw the kidnapping when they arrived at her mother’s house.
The detectives were not convinced by the details he provided about the incident. Hill’s body was later discovered in a large trash can. She had died in a gruesome manner. She was assaulted sexually twice and choked.
As a result, Roby was charged with murder and convicted in a non-jury trial in May 1988 on one count of murder, sodomy, and two counts of rape.
He was also found guilty of assaulting another sister and sentenced to life in prison without the possibility of parole. As a result of his dangerous crimes, he was transferred to Pelican Bay when it opened in December 1989.
He joined the other 40% of the inmate population serving life sentences for a variety of serious offenses. At some point during his captivity, he became interested in Satanism.
He was so influenced by it that he had forgotten his previous beliefs and even referred to himself as a Satanic Christ.
