Married At First Sight wins the ratings with more than a MILLION viewers as Underbelly: Vanishing Act also performs well for Channel Nine

Married At First Sight took out the top spot in Sunday night’s television ratings, delivering its highest numbers all season.

The Channel Nine reality show drew 1.14 million metro viewers for its penultimate episode, reports TV Blackbox.

Crime drama Underbelly: Vanishing Act also proved to be a winner for the network, pulling in 719,000 viewers in the five capital cities.

Sunday’s finale of Dancing with the Stars, which saw Grant Denyer win for a second time, pulled in 564,000 metro viewers for Channel Seven.

Underbelly: Vanishing Act was the highest-rating new Australian drama release since SeaChange in 2019, Nine announced on Monday.

And MAFS was the most-livestreamed program across all broadcasters.

In addition to pulling in its highest ratings all season, Sunday’s episode of MAFS also recorded its highest-ever BVOD audience with 292,000 viewers. 

The strong ratings helped Nine win across all key demos and network rankings.

The latest episode of MAFS saw all of the brides and grooms come together for a drama-filled reunion dinner party.

Ella Ding and Mitch Eynaud revealed they were back together, despite going their separate ways at their final vows.

And it was revealed fan favourites Domenica Calarco and Jack Millar had broken up.  

‘It kind of fizzled. I don’t know what happened and I’m left very confused,’ admitted a blindsided Domenica, 28.
