Margaret Qualley looked effortlessly chic as she posed at the Stars at Noon photocall during Cannes Film Festival on Thursday.

The actress, 27, showed off her stunning sense of style in a silky black co-ord that flashed a glimpse of her toned midriff as she posed with dapper co-star Joe Alwyn. 

Margaret and Joe, 31, play couple Daniel and Trish in the romantic thriller which has so far received rave reviews.

The beauty teamed the shirt with wide-leg high-waisted trousers that had a pretty belt attached and wore her hair in a chic up do while opting for natural makeup.  

Beside her Conversations with Friends star Joe wore a cream suit which he teamed with a black top and shoes.

The actor stars alongside Jemima as married couple Nick and Melissa who become involved with a pair of students who were once also an item, in an adaptation of Sally Rooney’s debut novel.

Joe is involved in a number of sex scenes with his co-star Alison, who plays Irish university student Frances.

After watching the steamy scenes, several viewers took to social media to proclaim they understand why Taylor is in love with Joe.

While some viewers were left swooning, others said Joe’s casting as Nick Conway in Conversations With Friends left them confused.

After the series was released for streaming by the BBC and on Hulu this weekend, viewers questioned whether Joe was right for the role, with the book’s character being older.

Referring to a quote from a review by Variety, one person tweeted: ‘This is pretty on point. A point I forgot to make, Nick doesn’t come off as an older man at all so it made that whole storyline not work.
