Minister of Humanitarian Affairs confirms FG is paying N20,000 to 5,000 Abuja households
The Minister of Humanitarian Affairs has indeed confirmed that the Federal Government of Nigeria is paying N20,000 to 5,000 households in Abuja.
The money is for the poor and vulnerable as the state is on lockdown mandated by President Muhammadu Buhari.
Honourable Minister of Humanitarian Affairs, Disaster Management & Social Development. Federal Republic of Nigeria Sadiya Umar Farouq took to her Twitter account to reveal the stimulus package, she said, Today, I visited Kwali LGA of the FCT to inspect the payment of Conditional Cash Transfer beneficiaries as part of His Excellency President Muhammad Buhari’s special intervention for COVID-19.

The ministry then posted a message on their official Twitter account that said, “HM @Sadiya_farouq at Kwali LGA for the payment of Conditional Cash Transfer to beneficiaries. The payment is part of palliative measures of the FG under the leadership of H. E. President, @MBuhari to cushion the effect of the #lockdown to reduce the spread of #COVID19.”

“With the current pandemic and situation on ground,the money will go a long way to support the families in their daily lives. Today,we are giving out N20, 000 each to about 190 beneficiaries in Kwali Area Councils.The total beneficiaries in FCT are 5,000.”
