Mumini Alao: Why the European Super League was dead on arrival [Podcast]

The proposed European Super League is an idea built to feed the greed of rich businessmen at the expense of football fans and it was fated to die before seeing the light of day, according to Mumini Alao.

Speaking to co-anchor Kayode Ogundare on this week’s episode of Sports Planet Podcast, the veteran journalist said he was vehemently against the idea which presupposes that everyone will automatically become a fan of the big teams involved in the Super League.

“…every journalist is trained to be on the side of the people and fight for causes that seek to oppress them so I firmly support those against the idea of a Super League which is dangling money at the clubs at the expense of the football fans.”
