Discussing her experience of being a first-time mum, Nadia sweetly admitted that her baby son, now 21 months, had ‘kept her going’.

Speaking exclusively to MailOnline in February, Nadia said: ‘Being single and a new mum during the pandemic has been crazy.

‘I literally went from having friends over every day to help me by either cleaning or having a cup of tea, to it just being me and my baby with no help or respite while trying to recover from a C-section.’

Nadia admitted at the time that she was ‘sad’ that Ezekiel was soon turning one yet he had never taken part in any baby groups due to the pandemic.

She said: ‘I look back and think I don’t know how I got through it to be honest. It is sad to think he will be one in about two weeks time and has never taken part in any group activities with other babies outside of the house.

‘It is tough and I have days where I feel inadequate as a parent like I am not doing enough. The mum guilt is real but I try to stay present and not get too anxious about it because you can really get yourself into a depressive pit.

‘The other side of it is that we have spent every day together for nearly a year and I wouldn’t have had this time with him if it wasn’t for the pandemic. We will have a bond like no other.

Issuing advice for other mothers who have welcomed children during the pandemic, Nadia said it is important to focus on the positives.

She said: ‘What I would say to other mums in my position would be try not to over think about the things you might have missed out on with your baby and think of the positives you have gained.

‘Lockdown has gained us so much time which is a commodity we wouldn’t have had the luxury of before 2020.

‘My baby has definitely kept me going during the pandemic, before him I don’t know how I would have got through lockdown completely on my own.’
