Nigerian Army officer detained for assualting a bank customer after jumping ATM queue!

The 9 Brigade of the Nigerian Army stationed at Ikeja has apprehended a Corporal, Omoh F, who was caught on camera assaulting a woman with his belt at the United Bank of Africa Oshodi branch, Lagos.

Major Olaniyi Osoba, spokesman for the 9 Brigade corroborated this to The PUNCH on Monday.

He said;

“I can confirm to you that he has been detained and investigations are ongoing,”

Earlier, we reported a lady named Ada-Oma tweeted that a Nigerian Army officer shouted at her and went ahead to beat her after she accused him of jumping an ATM queue.

She shared her ordeal in a series of tweets on her page which generated reactions as many condemned the act of the Army officer.

Nigerian security agents have been accused of violations of human liberties repeatedly by Amnesty International and this incident is one of many atrocious acts against civilians by some members of the country’s security forces.
