Nigerian lawyers sue China for $200b Coronavirus

Following the detrimental effects of the deadly Coronavirus in the country, a group a Nigeria top-class lawyers have decided to file a suit against the People’s Republic of China.

The suit details that the lawyers are asking for a $200 billion for the effects of Coronavirus with the Chinese government held responsible.

Some of the outlined detrimental effects on Nigerians of the Coronavirus include loss of lives, economic strangulation, trauma, hardship, social disorientation, mental torture and disruption of the normal daily existence of people in Nigeria.

The lead counsel spearheading the case for the Nigerian lawyers include former Director-General of the Nigeria Institute of Legal Studies (NIALS) Prof. Epiphany Azinge (SAN) who is now a member of the Commonwealth Arbitral Tribunal London.

A statement by Azinge said, “The team of legal experts planned a two phase line of action-: first is with the federal high court of Nigeria and secondly to persuade the government of Federal Republic of Nigeria to institute a state action against the Peoples Republic of China at the International Court of Justice at the Hague

“The legal experts will be claiming damages to the tune of 200billion dollars the Chinese Government will be served through its Embassy in Nigeria.”

  1. I believe by the time every other countries affected by this Coronavirus pandemic sue China for deliberately spreading this disease that’s ravaging the world with multiple deaths, they will not be able to survive it.
