Stanley Omah Didia professionally known as Omah Lay has spoken for the first time after he was arrested by the Ugandan Police yesterday.
The songwriter and producer was picked up by the police for performing at a show held at Speke Resort Munyonyo thereby violating COVID-19 restrictions in the country.
It was gathered that his arrest comes after the public criticised the Ugandan authorities for allowing an international act to perform while the local musicians are being denied.
Omah Lay took to his Twitter page to confirm his arrest by the local police as he called on his fans to be calm because everything will be settled in no time.
His tweet reads;
Yes I’m with the Ugandan police… something about the show from last night. Everything would be fine…
