He became an overnight sporting sensation after winning gold in the men’s 10 metre platform diving at the 2008 Olympics.

And now Matthew Mitcham is hoping to parlay his sporting success into an OnlyFans windfall, after he announced his decision to sell nude photos of himself this week.

Mitcham will be putting nude photos of himself on his husband’s OnlyFans account for a limited time, according to the 34-year-old’s Instagram Stories.

‘Sooooo many people have asked, so this is your one chance,’ Mitcham wrote, with the text strategically covering the lower portion of a nude photo of himself.

‘On Saturday @lukeyluke8 will be DMing a selection of his favourite uncensored photos of ME to his subscribers on [OnlyFans].’

‘If you want to see me in all my holigay glory, make sure you’re subscribed before Saturday.’

Matthew’s husband Luke Mitcham has a profile on the adult site where he shares images to his subscribers at a cost of $9.99 per month.

Mitcham was just 20 when he snared gold in the men’s 10m platform event, beating China’s Zhou Luxin.

In his final routine, Mitcham set an Olympic record score for a single dive – 112 – to stun the home crowd.

In doing so, the Queensland born Mitcham created history by becoming the first openly gay male Olympic champion.

After his triumph in Beijing, Mitcham developed a dependency for the drug ice when he discovered he was not world number one in the global rankings, despite his Olympic success.

Incredibly, Mitcham felt like a failure and soon found himself training and competing while juggling a crippling drug addiction.

Mitcham maintains he hasn’t touched a drug since officially retiring from diving in 2016, and in 2020 married his partner Luke Rutherford.
