Ondo state government grants churches permission to hold Easter Sunday service
Christians in Ondo State have been given permission to attend church to celebrate Easter Sunday despite the deadly Coronavirus outbreak.
Ondo state is not among the states under the lockdown for the Coronavirus imposed by President Muhammadu Buhari.
The confirmation to hold service on Easter Sunday was made Reverend John Oladapo who is the chairman of the Ondo chapter of the Christian Association of Nigeria(CAN) in a statement.
The statement by the Chairman said that those going to church will have to be at a minimum of 20 people and a maximum of 50 for very big churches.
The church is also to provide hand sanitizers, soap and water to the congregation as precautionary tools to prevent the spread of the deadly Coronavirus.
It is only the Church service on Easter that is permissible, and no Jumat service or good Friday and retreat should be conducted due to the Coronavirus outbreak.
